Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The attacks come after evenings of air raids in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
